A police officer has been identified as a person of interest in the island’s latest homicide.

The Criminal Investigations Department responded to a shooting incident at Chef Harry Drive Morne Fortune around 10:30 pm Monday.

Upon arrival officer found one female dead at her residence with apparent gunshot wounds to the body.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, Dorian O’Brian held a press conference on Tuesday morning to update the media on the investigation.

Residents in the area who spoke off the record recall hearing approximately ten rounds of ammunition being discharged.

The victim’s husband who is a police officer has been brought in as a person of interest.
