Miss Paula St. Luce, teacher at the Gros Islet Primary School, retired this week after dedicating 41 years to the education sector.
A special ceremony was held on Friday January 11th to celebrate the veteran educator’s many achievements over the years.
Miss St. Luce began her career as a teacher from 1979 at the Gros Islet Infant School.
In 2004 she accepted the position of principal at the Gros Islet Primary School, giving 14 years of dedicated service, and being an inspiration to both teachers and students.
Speaking at the retirement ceremony, Gros-Islet MP Lenard Montoute said the veteran educator has touched many lives and will be missed by all.
The event was filled with musical and dance tributes from the school’s choir as well as local calypsonians.
