STATUS UPDATE

Police say they have received the results of some of the tests done on samples from the Kimberly de Leon murder case. For weeks lawmen have been waiting for the test results which they expect will shed light on what happened the night she was killed
The Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime and Intelligence, Wayne Charlery Tuesday gave an update on the Kimberly William De Leon case as well as the more recent murder of British National Robert Hathaway.
It is now two months since police Commissioner Severin Moncherry first disclosed that samples from the Kimberly De Leon investigation were sent to St. Kitts for testing.
42 year old Kimberly De Leon was shot and killed at her Morne Fortune home on the night of October 29th 2018.
Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime and Intelligence, Wayne Charlery Tuesday gave an update on the samples sent overseas for testing.
The ACP confirmed that ballistics and trace evidence testing was done and once the second set of test results are received the department will be in a better position to give an update.
Mr Charley then gave an update on the Robert Hathaway case. Hathaway’s body was found in his Piat Grande Riviere residence on Sunday January 13th.
When asked about the challenges being faced by investigators, Mr Charlery had this to say.
The RSLPF has been receiving support from the British officials with the investigation.
A post mortem to determine the cause of Bob Hathaway’s death will take place on Thursday.
