UWP SAYS THIS WEEK’S NO CONFIDENCE DEBATE DOOMED TO FAIL

The United Workers Party has thrown its full support behind the government of Saint Lucia, under the leadership of Prime Minister Allen Chastanet. This as the No Confidence motion by the Opposition is scheduled to be debated in the House of Parliament on Tuesday January 29th.
The UWP describes the no confidence motion as “another weak attempt by the leader of the opposition and his despots to discredit the value of the work of the government, as it strives to build a more resilient Saint Lucia. The Leader of the Opposition called on St. Lucians to take a keen interest in the debate
The Leader of the Opposition said the Speaker of House of Parliament indicated to him that January 29 is the date set for the no confidence motion to be debated.
The UWP applauded the Prime Minister for what it described as a heart-warming address to the nation, articulating the successes of the government over the last 30 months and making the year 2019, a year of implementation
