The St. Lucia Bureau of Standards today held a stakeholders consultation on good regulatory practices.  All regulators were in attendance.  The         goal ultimately is to establish good regulatory practices throughout the CARICOM region.

Monday’s meeting forms part of a broader Commonwealth Standards Network Project. The Commonwealth Standards Network is a platform for Commonwealth countries to exchange ideas, share best practice and impart knowledge. Its key aim will be to facilitate trade and foster innovation across the Commonwealth through the increased use of international standards.

The project, according to the SLBS Director, was funded by Tradecom and facilitated by Crossq.

The meeting was a one day affair and took place at the SLBS Headquarters in Bisee castries.
