VACATIONING STUDENTS SHARPEN ACTING SKILLS

The local drama group “DRAMACAN” held its 2nd acting workshop for young actors recently.  The workshop targets secondary school children with interest in singing, dancing and acting. This year, Dramacan invited Andre Dillon of Trinidad and Tobago, to assist in making an all-round performers of this year’s participants.

Assistant Director of DRAMACAN, Shernel Justin says, she and the executive team have been involved in drama for many years and are simply passing on their knowledge and experience to the young participnts.

Miss Justin says this 2nd Annual workshop was a joint effort, and was organized with help from Danielle Dubois.

Co-Founder of DRAMACAN, Conrad Francois says having Andre Dillon as a facilitator will help push participants out of their comfort zones

Last year, the workshop went on for four days, but with more sponsors coming onboard they have added one more day this year. After the training, Miss Justin is hoping that the young actors can come together to stage a production at the end of the year.
