Hilary La Force, Executive Director of the Monsignor Patrick AnthonyFolk Research Center is getting set to retire after six years at the helm of the organisation.

La Force acted in the position from 2013 after his predecessor Kentry Jn. Pierre resigned.

He was finally confirmed to the position in 2015.

Hilary la Force will say his final farewell at the end of April.

While he says the FRC has made tremendous strides over the years, his biggest achievement while heading the organization was his work in the area cultural education and ensuring the continued  viability of Jounen Kweyol activities.

Mr. Laforce says the FRC continues to struggle financially, more so following the 2018 fire which destroyed its headquarters and all of its contents.

The FRC has planned a series of activities aimed at rebuilding the organisation.

Recently a vigil was held to commemorate the one year anniversary of the devastating fire.

The Folk Research Centre, located on Calvary Road was completely destroyed by fire the evening of Sunday March25th 2018.
