The local drama group “DRAMACAN” held its 2nd acting workshop for young actors recently.  The workshop targets secondary school children with interest in singing, dancing and acting. This year, Dramacan invited Andre Dillon of Trinidad and Tobago, to assist in making an all-round performers of this year’s participants. ECCO MEETING LOOKS AT IMPLICATIONS OF OECS UNITY FOR MUSIC INDUSTRY

An address on the challenges and benefits of OECS integration will be among the highlights of a meeting of the Eastern Caribbean Collective Organization for Music Rights (ECCO).  The meeting will be held at the Financial Centre at Pointe Seraphine this Saturday at 11 AM The meeting by the Eastern Caribbean Collective Organization for Music Rights (ECCO)  will see the presentation of financial statements from the auditors. ECCO MEETING CALLED OFF DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

The Annual AGM of The Eastern Caribbean Collective Organization for Music Rights (ECCO) which was scheduled for Saturday March 14th had to be postponed due to technical difficulties. Saturday’s meeting was to highlight the organization’s achievements over the past year as well as to present a report on ECCO’s finances to the members and well as adjustments to the organization’s bi laws. ECCO ADDRESSES CRITICAL ISSUES AT WEEKEND MEETING

The lack of compliance by local broadcasters, was among key subjects down for discussion with the Eastern Caribbean Collective Organisation for Music Right held a members meeting on Saturday.  The recent loss of a court case against Caribbean Cinemas also came up. In 2017, ECCO won a landmark case against Mega Plex in the civil suit for copyright infringement and asked the court for damages. The Movie Theatre chain challenged the decision and won. BAY GARDENS RESORTS ACQUIRES FOURTH HOTEL IN ST. LUCIA

ST. LUCIA (June 4, 2018) – Bay Gardens Resorts has expanded its portfolio to four hotels on the Eastern Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
