The Climate Change Adaptation Conference by the Ministry of Sustainable Development sought to identify  the best ways to engage the private sector in developing a national adaptation plan with  solutions to  climate change. The plan which is divided into three phases  spans a 10 year period from 2018 – 2028. The first phase deals with the implementation of the more urgent  measures over a three year period

As part of the process  health, education, and tourism sectors  were among the public sectors  involved in the process. The Ministry of Sustainable Development is also working on a communication strategy to deal with  climate change
