Heineken Saint Lucia is gearing up for a milestone celebration, its 50th Anniversary in Saint Lucia.
The first formal announcement was made at a ‘staff townhall’ held at the brewery’s production facilities in the south of the island.
WOMEN LEADERS AND ASPIRING FEMALES GATHER FOR INTERGENERATIONAL LEADERSHIP MIXER
The Department of Gender Affairs, with support from UN Women, hosted an intergenerational leadership mixer at Sandals Grande St. Lucian on Friday, bringing together established women leaders and 55 aspiring female leaders from secondary schools. The event, part of the lead-up to International Women’s Day 2025, emphasized a holistic approach to leadership, addressing personal, professional, and civic dimensions, and marked the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
AUTHORITIES TACKLE CRIME WITH DEBUSHING INITIATIVE IN RODNEY BAY
Amid growing concerns over crime, a collaborative debushing exercise was carried out along the Rodney Bay strip to improve visibility and public safety. The initiative, led by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the Fire Service, and the Gros Islet Constituency Council, received support from the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association and private sector partners. Stakeholders are also pushing for urgent solutions to security challenges, including improvements at the Rodney Bay Police Station.

Johnson says if elected, she will take immediate action.
BLIND WELFARE ASSOCIATION PUSHES ISLANDWIDE REGISTRATION FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
The St. Lucia Blind Welfare Association is working to register every blind and visually impaired person on the island through its ongoing mapping and registration project. Despite slow progress, Executive Director Anthony Avril says the initiative is crucial for identifying needs and ensuring individuals receive the necessary support to contribute meaningfully to society.
ROBBERY AT SOL MILLENNIUM HIGHWAY GAS STATION LEAVES STAFF SHAKEN
A robbery took place at the Sol Millennium Highway Gas Station on Friday afternoon, as two masked gunmen held staff at gunpoint and made off with cash. No physical injuries were reported, and while the gas station has not commented, concerned citizens are expressing their frustration over the incident.
