In a major step toward modernizing regional justice systems, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has officially handed over a Victim-Offender Mediation (V-OM) Toolkit to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, signaling growing momentum for the adoption of restorative justice practices across the subregion. The toolkit, the first of its kind in the Caribbean, is designed to help ease systemic backlogs and improve outcomes for both victims and offenders by promoting dialogue and accountability over traditional court proceedings.
