SAINT LUCIA LAUNCHES NATIONAL STRATEGY TO BOOST DATA AND DECISION-MAKING

Saint Lucia is laying the foundation for a modern, coordinated data ecosystem with the development of its first-ever National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS). Aligned with the country’s Medium Term Development Strategy (MTDS), the NSDS will serve as a comprehensive blueprint to strengthen the production, management, and use of official statistics. It aims to equip government ministries and agencies with the tools, resources, and institutional support needed to drive evidence-based policymaking and national development.

U.S. MEDICAL TEAM BRINGS FREE HEALTH CARE TO VIEUX FORT RESIDENTS

Hundreds of Saint Lucians are receiving much-needed medical care this week, as a team of U.S.-based health professionals partner with local organizations to deliver free services in Vieux Fort. The initiative, led by Hope Mission 360 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the St. Lucia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, is aiming to treat over 1,000 people during a three-day outreach at the Bellevue Human Resource Centre.

It was a high-energy celebration of rhythm, talent, and youth expression at the Mindoo Phillip Park on Thursday, as 18 young performers from across the island took center stage in the inaugural National Primary Schools Calypso and Soca Monarch Competition — a newly revamped cultural showcase designed to ignite creativity and boost student involvement in Saint Lucia’s music traditions.
