Customs Department Introduces New Efficiency Measures

The Customs and Excise Department has introduced a series of initiatives designed to enhance efficiency and simplify processes for the business community. A key proposal is the reconfiguration of the customs release order system, which includes a new color-coding mechanism. Under this system, a green indicator will signal that goods can be released without further customs intervention. This update allows brokers to print release orders from their own premises, significantly reducing wait times.
