The Soufrière Action Theatre (SAT) is paying tribute to the late cultural stalwart, Augustin ‘Gwos Kiliwoo’ Anneville, who dedicated over five decades to preserving the island’s masquerade tradition. His funeral service was not just a farewell—it was a celebration of his cultural legacy. The streets came alive with the rhythmic energy of the “Papa Jab” or “Jab Dewor” masquerade, performed before and after the proceedings, in a fitting tribute to a man who embodied Saint Lucia’s rich cultural heritage.
