Giovanni St. Omer, a renowned costume and fashion designer, is on a mission to transform the way costume designs are perceived for this year’s Carnival. As an artist, he believes costumes should be more than just fashion—they should serve as vivid expressions of art and cultural identity. His work continues to resonate with those who appreciate the deeper significance behind his pieces.
This year, his costume for Dominica’s Queen Show won the top prize, and the crowned queen proudly wore his creation. As the 2025 Carnival season approaches in Saint Lucia, Giovanni and his team are hard at work perfecting costumes for three carnival bands.
