As Saint Lucia joins the global observance of World Bee Day, local beekeepers are warning that climate change, unchecked honey imports, and lack of support are threatening the future of the island’s honey industry—and by extension, national food security. The Iyanola Apiculture Collective used the occasion to call for urgent policy action and public support to protect pollinators and preserve local livelihoods.
