CXC REPORTS EXAM IMPROVEMENT BUT WARNS OF CHEATING AND GENDER GAP

Caribbean students are showing marked improvement in this year’s CSEC exams, with 44% now achieving the critical benchmark of five subjects—including math and English—a 3% increase over last year. But the Caribbean Examinations Council is also sounding the alarm over rising exam irregularities, including cheating with smartphones and smartwatches, as well as a troubling gender gap in advanced-level subjects.
