Concerns are mounting over the delayed reopening of St. Jude Hospital, a project that has remained a contentious issue since the facility was destroyed by fire in September 2009. On Tuesday, First Deputy Political Leader Guy Joseph spoke about the state of health care, highlighting delays and questioning transparency in the handling of the hospital’s reconstruction.
While Minister for Health Moses Jn Baptiste has indicated that works are 80 percent complete and predicts an opening by the end of this year, Joseph insists that citizens deserve clear, accountable information rather than mere estimates.
