A family’s attempt to steer a troubled teenager toward a better life ended in fatal violence Tuesday night in Riviere Mitan, Monchy. Linus Delice, 54, was stabbed to death after correcting his 17-year-old nephew—a tragedy the family describes as the shocking culmination of the nephew’s deteriorating behavior since entering secondary school. Police now hold the teen in custody following the altercation, which erupted as Delice and the boy’s father were discussing the youth’s wayward conduct.
