Saint Lucia is being urged to move more aggressively toward renewable energy as rising fuel costs and global tensions continue to put pressure on the cost of electricity. Minister for Energy Shawn Edward says the island must make greater use of its natural resources, including solar and geothermal energy, to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel and provide long-term relief for consumers.
