Three councillors from the Castries Constituency Council joined 1,400 international observers for Venezuela’s July 27th municipal elections. Ambassador Laisa Escalona reported a peaceful process, with 44% voter turnout—about 6.27 million voters. The ruling PSUV won 285 of 335 mayoralties, or 85% of the total.
