Local entertainer Simon “Simple ” Philip is asking for public help. He wants to build a new bumper-car track at the Gros Islet beach park. He says it will improve safety and the kids’ experience. He’s also appealing for a designated parking area. He says organized parking will benefit families and tourists.

DIASPORA CROWN AWAITS CONTESTANTS AT MISS ST. LUCIA USA PAGEANT
Preparations are in full swing for the Miss St. Lucia USA Independence Pageant, set for Saturday, February 7, in Brooklyn, New York. Hosted by 4Roots Entertainment, the event offers a platform for young women to showcase their talent while advocating for causes that impact communities both locally and abroad. Past Queens have launched foundations and partnered with organizations that continue to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Members of the diaspora are encouraged to attend as the four contestants compete with poise and eloquence for this year’s crown.
