Water ferry service offers alternative to long airport drive
The much talked about water ferry service between the Hewanorra International Airport and Rodney Bay Marina has come to life. The “Fun To See Island” water ferry is the brainchild of Michael Steinberg and business partner Dwane Raymond. The vessel has a capacity of thirty persons and will travel from Rodney Bay Marina directly to Vieux Fort and back.

The Royal St. Lucia Police Force has stepped up its operations in areas prone to violent crime and intensified its intelligence gathering amid a spate of shootings in the Leslie Land area over the past week which has claimed the lives of 25 year old Steevie Sharma alias zoom boy and 27 year old Ali Jordan aka small boy . This was just one of the matters discussed at Tuesday’s press conference. Other items included actively pursuing mini bus operators and passengers who continue to flout COVID-19 protocols. The lawmen also announced the capture of an illegal entrant in Gros Islet who is currently in quarantine. They have also warned those who harbor such persons that they will face the full brunt of the law.

Six St. Lucians are in quarantine after Marine Police intercepted two vessels one of which was carrying goods which had not been declared to the Customs & Excise Department.
