NEW FIRE TRUCKS BOOST SAINT LUCIA’S EMERGENCY RESPONSE CAPACITY

The firefighting capabilities of the St. Lucia Fire Service have received a major boost with the official handover of two state-of-the-art fire appliances from the Government of Saint Lucia — including a high-capacity fire truck and a specialized Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting unit. Unveiled on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, the new vehicles are expected to enhance emergency response, improve night-time operations, and bring the island’s fire service in line with international safety standards.
