Prime Minister Philip Pierre has announced the introduction of a new levy. The Health and Security Levy will be a 12.5 percent tax on goods and services with some exceptions, and will come into force on July 21, 2023. This new levy is will help finance healthcare and security initiatives. The new levy and VAT relief on some items were announced by the Prime Minister as he delivered his Budget address on Tuesday.
