HIGH COURT REJECTS CHASTANET’S BID TO HALT CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
The High Court has dealt a major blow to Opposition Leader Allen Chastanet, rejecting his bid to halt Saint Lucia’s Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP). The court ruled that the application lacked verifiable evidence and served no useful purpose, as the government had already suspended the disputed projects. Investment Minister Dr. Ernest Hilaire welcomed the ruling, saying it vindicates the government’s handling of the programme and its decision to end the CIP’s infrastructure option.
