PM Pierre Open To Business Dialogue
In a bid to foster better collaboration with the business community, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has offered to engage in dialogue with stakeholders regarding future policy decisions. His comments came in response to those of the President of the Chamber of Commerce, expressing concerns over the lack of consultation on the government’s fiscal policies. Polices he says directly impact the business sector. To address this, the President proposed the creation of an annual roundtable to facilitate ongoing discussions between the government and the business sector.

UN Forum in Barbados Focuses on Rights of People of African Descent
The United Nations Permanent Forum for People of African Descent convened a significant conference on Thursday, December 12th, in Bridgetown, Barbados. Among the attendees was the Iyanola Council for the Advancement of Rastafari (ICAR), representing Saint Lucia. The forum aimed to revise and finalize a draft declaration promoting respect for people of African descent in the post-colonial era.
