For the first time, preschools were included in the National Emergency Management Organization’s (NEMO) annual tsunami preparedness exercise. As part of the regional CARIBE WAVE 25 drill, NEMO aimed to assess and strengthen emergency plans in educational institutions, recognizing that many preschools lack specific tsunami evacuation strategies. Director Kenisha Jeffrey-Isembert emphasized the importance of ensuring all schools, regardless of level, are prepared for such emergencies.
