SAINT LUCIA ADVANCES LOW-EMISSIONS GOALS WITH EV AND ENERGY WASTE WORKSHOP

Saint Lucia is accelerating its shift toward a low-emissions future, with focused efforts in the transport and energy sectors and a commitment to responsible waste management. As part of this transition, the Department of Sustainable Development—alongside the GIZ NDC-TEC Programme (“Supporting the Implementation of NDCs in the Caribbean”) and the GEF 7 Electric Vehicle (EV) Project—hosted a validation workshop on Thursday, July 17. The workshop, which engaged Black Forest Solutions Inc., focused on technical assessments and stakeholder consultations for managing end-of-life electric vehicle (EV) and renewable energy (RE) waste.
