SAINT LUCIA TASKFORCE MEETS TO ADDRESS IMPACT OF US TARIFFS ON LOCAL ECONOMY

The inaugural meeting of the Strategic Ministerial Taskforce to evaluate the local effects of the imposition of tariffs by the United States on several major trading partners took place on Tuesday, March 18.
Chair of the body, Commerce Minister – Emma Hippolyte, highlighted serious implications for Saint Lucia which include increased prices and the availability of goods.
She however stressed that St Lucia will overcome these challenges.
