The Saint Lucia Meteorological Services is advising citizens of ongoing hot weather conditions expected to persist until October. During this period, residents can anticipate higher humidity, reduced rainfall, and fewer gusts of wind. Authorities warn that prolonged exposure to high temperatures can be dangerous, particularly for vulnerable groups, and may even result in fatalities. Citizens are also being urged to prepare for what is projected to be an overactive Atlantic hurricane season, with an increased likelihood of storms developing or passing near the Lesser Antilles.
