WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY: CALL TO IMPROVE SUPPORT SYSTEMS

St. Lucia joined the global community in observing World Down Syndrome Day 2025 under the theme “Improve Our Support Systems.” Dunnottar School Principal Antonia Joseph highlights the island’s progress in de-stigmatizing disabilities while emphasizing the importance of inclusive education, greater community support, and the symbolic tradition of wearing mismatched socks on March 21st to raise awareness.
