A critical Caribbean disaster relief program is at a standstill. The Youth Emergency Action Committee (YEAC), which has provided disaster aid across the region for over two decades, has been forced to suspend operations and lay off staff after losing USAID funding. The cut follows a sweeping reduction of U.S. aid programs, leaving communities vulnerable ahead of the next hurricane season. Caritas Antilles is now calling for urgent support to keep the program alive.
