The Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival’s main stage events will once again be held at the Pigeon Island National Landmark, following an agreement between the Saint Lucia National Trust and the Ministry of Tourism. Despite previous concerns about the site’s suitability for large events, the Trust acknowledges that relocating the festival’s main stage is a gradual process. In a move to improve operational efficiency and ease pressure on medical institutions, the government has allocated millions of dollars towards significant healthcare developments, including the construction of the Fifth Wing at OKEU Hospital, the completion of St. Jude Hospital, and the establishment of an urgent care facility at the Dr. Betty Wells Urban Polyclinic.
