Saint Lucia has taken a significant step toward shaping its first National Migration Policy, as government officials completed a two-day training workshop aimed at strengthening the country’s capacity to collect, manage, and analyze migration data. Organized by the International Organization for Migration, the workshop tackled key data challenges and laid the groundwork for evidence-based policymaking, with a first policy draft expected by the end of the year.
