Saint Lucia has recorded more than 8,700 reported crimes so far this year, with firearm-related killings continuing to dominate the murder count. While police say firearm offences have declined slightly, other serious crimes are climbing — including motor vehicle theft, which has nearly doubled compared to the same period last year.
