British marketing specialist Anthony Aajon Paul, who has St. Lucian roots, has tapped into the hospitality industry by transforming his uncle’s restaurant into a five-star venue. Shakara, located in central London, offers clients a diverse array of experiences, particularly highlighting African and Caribbean cultures. After returning to connect with his roots last year, Paul partnered with St. Lucia Distillers to showcase the island’s signature drinks. Last month, Shakara received the Best New Restaurant Award, signaling its growth in both the food business and its cultural presence in central London and beyond.
