Support systems for teenage parents and the broader issue of teenage pregnancy came under the spotlight during Monday’s Pre-Cabinet briefing, where the Minister for Education, Youth Development and Sports addressed both personal experience and national responsibility.
He encouraged young persons to avoid sexual activity during their school years, noting the potential consequences of early pregnancy, and emphasized that reproduction should take place within marriage. Mr. Casimir also urged young parents to make use of available support systems and continue building their lives in order to secure their children’s future.
