Reaching 100 years of age is a milestone few achieve, but for one Marchand resident, the occasion was marked not only by longevity, but by a lifetime of faith, family, and service. Germain Collymore celebrated her 100th birthday on June 15th, surrounded by relatives, friends, and well-wishers during a special thanksgiving Mass held in her honour.
The newly minted centenarian gave thanks to God for His blessings and for the strength that carried her through the challenges of raising a family. Today, she enjoys the love and support of several generations who continue to celebrate her remarkable life and legacy.
Parish Priest Father Festus Iwuagwu says the growing number of centenarians is a reflection of God’s enduring love and grace.
