JULIEN ALFRED CLAIMS SECOND DIAMOND LEAGUE VICTORY IN ZURICH, SOLIDIFYING HER LEGACY

St. Lucia’s international track athlete, Julien Alfred, captured her second Diamond League victory in Zurich after crossing the 100-meter mark in 10.76 seconds. Earlier this year, she had to withdraw from a race—sparking concern among international critics—but she has once again proven that her sprinting legacy remains intact.

Since Alfred’s Olympic success in 2024, the pressure has grown on the Saint Lucia Athletics Association, as the world now expects more elite athletes from the island. Relevant stakeholders are also increasing investment in athlete development.
