The Saint Lucian government is cutting checks to boost classrooms in denominational schools. A hundred and twenty thousand Eastern Caribbean dollars is now on its way to Seventh-day Adventist schools across the island, part of a national push to ensure every student has access to a quality education, regardless of where they learn.

A new symbol of kindness now sits at the St. Lucy’s Home. As part of Be a Buddy Day activities, the Buddy Ambassadors team, led by founder and CEO Ms. Loverly Sheridan, installed a “Take a Minute” bench at the facility. The initiative—launched across Saint Lucian schools on November 7th—aims to promote kindness, empathy, compassion, and inclusion. Today’s installation extends that mission beyond classrooms, encouraging care and mental well-being among the elderly.
