The 2011 US State Department Human Rights report on Saint Lucia, has cited reports of unlawful Police killings as the island’s most serious human rights problem.
It has also called attention to alleged abuse of suspects and prisoners by the Police, and long delays in trials and sentencing.
The report was issued today, after the Saint Lucia government earlier this year confirmed that a high ranking Police Officer had his US visa revoked.
