The fight against cancer in the Caribbean is gaining momentum—with regional experts stepping up efforts to improve access, treatment, and outcomes for patients across island states.
Sir Arthur Lewis Community College alumnus and epidemiologist Aviane Auguste, Ph.D., recently hosted a cancer research conference at St. George’s University in Grenada on March 20. The one-day event brought together more than 130 participants, both in-person and online, to examine solutions for improving cancer care in geographically isolated and underserved regions, particularly Small Island Developing States.
