The police are calling for stronger community support as they work to tackle crime in Saint Lucia’s south. Southern Division Superintendent Stephen Victorin says the nature of crime in the region differs significantly from what he encountered in the north, while a lack of reliable information from residents can make it harder for police to respond effectively.
Speaking during Wednesday’s edition of NewsMaker Live, Victorin also addressed concerns over police mishaps, saying while mistakes may occur, the public should also recognize and encourage the positive work being done by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.
