STREET VIBES – MAY 29TH, 2025
As the cruise season kicks off in Castries, concerns over tourist muggings have eased, thanks to an increased police presence in the city. Inspector Yone Camchon of the Castries City Police Constabulary reports that strategic patrols and the addition of a mobile police station have played a significant role in enhancing public safety. Despite the progress, he urges the public to continue collaborating with law enforcement to keep the city secure.
On Sunday, the Art by Bev showcase took place at Castries City Hall, offering a vibrant display of St. Lucian art and culture. The exhibition, led by local artist Beverly Anne Thomas, aimed to inspire women and creatives to express their cultural identity through visual arts.
The Dr. Betty Bennett Wells Urban Polyclinic officially opened its doors on Tuesday, with services set to commence on Monday, December 16. Residents who previously relied on the Castries Wellness Centre can now access the same services at this modern facility.
