One of the Caribbean’s most beloved tricksters is once again taking centre stage. The timeless tale of Anansi has returned in a major theatrical production aimed at introducing a new generation to Caribbean folklore and inspiring young people to embrace the creative arts.
The production, titled “A Play Must Play,” is a collaboration between the National Combined Schools’ Choir and the St. Mary’s College Theatre Group. The cast was guided by Trinidad and Tobago theatrical director Antineil Blackman, whose passion for theatre and cultural preservation is at the heart of the production.
