CSEC RESULTS UP 8% AS OFFICIALS SIGNAL STRONGER 2026 PERFORMANCE

It’s crunch time for thousands of students across the region, as CSEC examinations get fully underway—and early indicators suggest stronger performances ahead this year.
The Caribbean Examinations Council reports that overall candidate performance in January 2026 improved by approximately eight percent compared to 2025. Around 71 percent of students achieved Grades I to III, up from 62 percent last year. With adjustments to the School-Based Assessment component, officials are optimistic about even higher pass rates in this sitting.
