The music has faded, the costumes have been packed away, but the conversation about Carnival is far from over. As Saint Lucia reflects on another season of celebration, Tourism and Creative Industries Minister Dr. Ernest Hilaire says Carnival must never become an excuse for lawlessness, violence, excessive drinking or indecent behaviour. While praising the festival’s success, he is reminding revellers that protecting public safety and respecting others should remain just as important as the celebration itself.
