The Eastern Caribbean Collective Organization for Music Rights (ECCO) Inc. is appealing a landmark copyright case in Dominica after a dispute over unlicensed music performances at the February 2024 “Pinknic” concert, promoted by Neon Briggs. The event, held at the state-owned Botanical Gardens, allegedly featured music from ECCO’s protected repertoire without the required copyright license. ECCO is seeking compensation from both the promoter and the garden’s management.
