June 26th marks the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed annually to strengthen action and cooperation toward achieving a drug-free world. This year’s theme calls for investment in prevention — including justice, education, health care, and alternative livelihoods — the building blocks of sustainable resilience.
In Saint Lucia, local drug-free club SYTOP continues its mission of public engagement, with a particular focus on youth empowerment to help prevent an increase in drug abuse among young people.
